Important!!!

Most of the travelers ride a horse first time, so if you are not an experienced rider there isn’t reason to worry. Our horses are calm and easy to manage. Moreover, we have an equipments for safe horse riding.

Our office is located in Kochkor town and mostly travelers come to Kochkor by themselves. You can take a shared taxi or you can come by marshrutka (minibus) from bus station.

WEAR- Comfortable athletic clothing, hiking boots, hat, jacket and sunscreen.

Transportation from Karakol town to the place of start in Karakol valley

Transportation from Karakol town to the place of start in Karakol valley. Karakol valley is located 9 kilometers to the south from Karakol town which cuts deep into slopes of Teskei Alatau. Slopes of Karakol valley and the waterside of Karakol river are covered with thickets of sea buckthorn, barberry, rose hips and Tala against the background of emerald green steppe meadows.

Next trip will take place in the realm of the Tien Shan firs. Since May in Karakol valley bloom snowdrops, primroses, alpine aster, edelweiss, tulips, white anemone, rosehip, sea buckthorn that turn slopes into a flourishing park.

Climbing the Karakol valley, you will move about from the steppe foothills to the mountain forests, woodlands, subalpine and alpine meadows and even into the realm of perpetual snow with bare rocks and glaciers. There is located an Alpine base in upper valley.

There are several peaks which you can see from this zone: Djigit peak( 5130m), Karakolskiy (5281m), Prjevalsky (4283), Jukov (4450m), Telman (4460m), Dimitrov (4450m), Fuchika (4210 m), Gastello (4350 m). Encampment near Sirota camp.

Climbing to Ala-Kol lake

After breakfast climbing to Ala-Kol lake (3500m) (probably 3 hours). Ala Köl, also Ala-Kul, is a rock-dammed lake in the Terskey Alatau mountain range in the Ak-Suu District of the Issyk Kul Province of Kyrgyzstan.

It lies at an altitude of approximately 3560 meters. After lunch on the shore of Ala-Kol lake climbing to Ala-kol peak (3860m) where you will have an opportunity to enjoy with inexpressible view of summit of the mountains of Terskey Ala Too (5200m).

Descent to Keldike valley through waterfall. Encampment and dinner in Keldike valley( 3200m).

Altyn Arashan valley

Early breakfast. Descent to the Altyn-Arashan valley, 3 hour walk (Golden Spring). You will have the opportunity to visit the swimming pools with mineral water and take a walk in the surrounding area of Arashan. There are enclosed swimming pools and the hot springs which remain in the open air. Lunch. Accommodation in the Kyrgyz national dwelling Yurt. Dinner.
Overnight in the yurts (2500 m.).

Karakol

Early breakfast. Returning to the city of Karakol. A 4-5h hour hike along Ak-Suu gorge where a car will be awaiting us. Lunch. Return to the city of Karakol.
