KYRGYZ WONDERS – 11 DAYS

  • Kyrgyz Wonders Travel Kyrgyzstan Tour
    11 Days
  • Kyrgyz Wonders Travel Kyrgyzstan Tour
    May – October
  • Combined – Auto

Overview

This 11-day expedition offers a comprehensive exploration of Kyrgyzstan’s most remote and iconic regions — from high- altitude alpine lakes and historical Silk Road monuments to dramatic mountain gorges and traditional nomadic settlements. Designed for those seeking both cultural depth and natural grandeur, the journey combines off-road travel, horseback riding, and authentic local encounters across the heart of Central Asia

Useful Information Before You Travel

  • Meals: Expect to enjoy traditional Central Asian dishes throughout the trip. Vegetarian choices are available — just be sure to notify your tour leader ahead of time if you have any dietary needs or allergies.

  • Money Matters: Credit cards are accepted in most urban areas, but it’s a good idea to have some local cash (Kyrgyz Som) for small purchases, especially from local vendors. Around $10 USD per day should be enough for incidental expenses.

  • Connectivity: Internet is generally accessible in towns and cities, though it can be spotty or slow in mountainous areas. To stay connected, consider purchasing a local SIM card — MEGACOM is a recommended provider.

  • Electricity: The electrical system operates at 220V with plug types C and F (standard European plugs). Bring a suitable adapter for your electronics

  • Insurance: Make sure you have travel insurance that includes medical coverage and any adventure-related activities you plan to take part in.

  • Language: Kyrgyz and Russian are the official languages. While you may find English speakers in the cities, knowing a few basic words or phrases in Russian or Kyrgyz can go a long way in rural areas.

  • Currency Exchange: Avoid exchanging US dollars at the airport, as the rates are typically lower. It’s best to change money at banks or authorized exchange offices in Bishkek. Your guide can assist you with this.
