Itinerary

Day 1.Bishkek – Burana Tower – Song-Kol Lake

Drive: 302 km (≈5 h)
Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Meet your guide in Bishkek. Drive east to Burana Tower, an 11th-century minaret from the Silk Road era, surrounded by mausoleums and stone carvings. After exploring, continue over Kalmak Ashuu Pass (3,400 m) with sweeping mountain views. Arrive at Song-Kol Lake in late afternoon. Check into a lakeside yurt, meet local shepherds, and enjoy dinner under a sky full of stars.

Overnight: Yurt camp (shared facilities)

Day 2.Song-Kol Lake – Free Day

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Spend a full day by the tranquil shores of Song-Kol. Activities include horseback riding across pastures, meeting nomadic families, short hikes, and stargazing by evening.

Overnight: Yurt camp

Day 3.Song-Kol – 32 Parrot Pass – Kok-Kiya Valley

Drive: 200 km (≈6 h)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Cross the 32 Parrot Pass (3,600 m) with panoramic mountain views. Picnic by rivers and continue to Kok-Kiya Valley.

Overnight at a guesthouse or yurt camp.

Day 4.Horseback to Kel-Suu Lake – Drive to Naryn

Horse riding: 16 km (≈3 h)
Drive: 230 km (≈5 h)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Ride through Kok-Kiya Valley to Kel-Suu Lake (3,500 m). Explore and return for lunch before continuing to Naryn for dinner.

Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 5.Naryn – Bokonbaevo (Eagle Show)

Drive: 230 km (≈4 h)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Drive to Issyk-Kul’s southern shore. In Bokonbaevo, watch an eagle hunting show with a traditional berkutchi.

Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse.

Day 6.Bokonbaevo – Fairytale Canyon – Barskoon – Djeti-Oguz – Karakol

Drive: 170 km (≈3–4 h)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Visit Fairytale Canyon, Barskoon Waterfalls, and Djeti-Oguz. Arrive in Karakol, explore local landmarks, and enjoy dinner.

Overnight: Hotel

Day 7.Karakol – Altyn Arashan Valley

Drive: 60 km (≈2 h, Soviet 4×4)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Ride off-road to Altyn Arashan, relax in natural hot springs, hike, and enjoy stargazing.

Overnight: Guesthouse or yurt camp.

Day 8.Altyn Arashan – Chon-Kemin Valley

Drive: 334 km (≈6–7 h)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Drive to Chon-Kemin Valley, with warm hospitality at a local guesthouse. Optional horse riding or hikes.

Day 9.Chon-Kemin – Bishkek (City Tour)

Return to Bishkek. Explore Ala-Too Square, Osh Bazaar, and Oak Park. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
