Itinerary

Day 1.Arrival in Bishkek & Ala-Archa National Park

Arrive in Bishkek, where your guide will meet you. Start with a city sightseeing tour, exploring:

  • Ala-Too Square, the cultural heart of the capital
  • Oak Park, with sculptures and Soviet monuments
  • Osh Bazaar, bustling with spices, bread, and traditional goods

In the afternoon, drive to Ala-Archa National Park, a gorge just outside Bishkek. Enjoy a light hike among glaciers, pine forests, and alpine rivers. Return to Bishkek for dinner.

Day 2.Bishkek → Karakol (via Issyk-Kul North Shore)

Travel along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, the world’s second-largest alpine lake.

  •  Stop at scenic viewpoints of turquoise waters and snow-capped ranges.
  • Visit charming villages and alpine gorges for short walks.
  • Coffee or tea breaks in roadside cafes with mountain views.

Arrive in Karakol, known for its Russian architecture and Dungan heritage. Dinner with a local family.

Day 3.Karakol → Altyn-Arashan Gorge → Karakol

Board a rugged Soviet off-road vehicle for the climb into Altyn-Arashan Gorge, famous for its untouched nature.

  • Relax in natural hot springs beside the river.
  • Picnic lunch in the valley.

Return to Karakol in the evening.

Day 4.Karakol → Jeti-Oguz → Barskoon → Bokonbaevo

Follow the southern shore of Issyk-Kul with scenic stops:

  • Barskoon Gorge – hike to the Barskoon Waterfall; see Soviet monuments including Yuri Gagarin.

Day 5.Bokonbaevo → Song-Kol Lake

Leave the lake shores and head into the high mountains.

  • Arrive at Song-Kol Lake (3,016 m), surrounded by wide-open pastures.

Evening at the yurt camp: enjoy traditional Kyrgyz dinner, storytelling, and stargazing in the clear mountain sky.

Day 6.Song-Kol Lake → Naryn City

Spend the morning at Song-Kol:

After lunch, drive over a high pass into Naryn, a mountain town known as the gateway to southern Kyrgyzstan.

Day 7.Naryn → Kel-Suu Lake

Set off for the remote Kel-Suu Lake, located near the Chinese border.

Few travelers ever reach this isolated jewel.
