This 6-day journey is designed for travelers who want to experience the real Kyrgyzstan in a short but powerful format.
You will travel from ancient Silk Road monuments to remote alpine valleys, ride horses to the legendary Song-Kol Lake, trek to the hidden Kel-Suu Lake, and cross wild mountain regions by 4×4 vehicle.
A perfect mix of nature, culture, nomadic life, and adventure, without rushing and without extreme difficulty.
Experience real nomadic life with yurt stays at Song-Kol and Kok-Kiya valleys.
Visit the hidden Kel-Suu Lake—one of the most remote and breathtaking places in Kyrgyzstan.
Enjoy a mix of horseback riding, trekking, and 4×4 mountain roads.
See the best of Ysyk-Kol’s south shore: canyons, waterfalls, red-rock valleys, and eagle hunters.
Perfect for adventure lovers who want cultural depth, scenic variety, and authentic local experiences.
Leave Bishkek behind and head straight into Kyrgyzstan’s dramatic landscapes. The first stop is Burana Tower, a 11th-century Silk Road minaret standing alone among ancient ruins and stone balbals.
Continue to Kok-Moinok Canyon, a colorful labyrinth of clay formations shaped by wind and time. A short walk allows you to explore the canyon and enjoy panoramic views.
By evening, arrive in Kochkor village, located near the high mountain pastures leading to Song-Kol. Dinner is served at a local guesthouse or at Restaurant, where you rest before your horse adventure.
After breakfast, drive to Kyzart village where meet your horses and local guides. The trail leads through the wide Kilemche Valley, one of Kyrgyzstan’s most beautiful summer pastures.
Climb toward Tuz Ashuu Pass (3,400 m), where breathtaking views open over Song-Kol Lake, resting on a vast alpine plateau. After a rest, descend to the lakeshore and arrive at a traditional yurt camp.
In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed ride along the western shore of the lake and visit a nomadic family to learn about daily life, livestock herding, and dairy production.
Leave Song-Kol and begin an epic 4×4 road trip through the remote landscapes of southern Kyrgyzstan. Pass through At-Bashy Valley, dotted with small villages and open steppe.
Stop for a picnic near a river in Bosogo Valley, then cross Kyndy Pass (approx. 3,500 m). Travel permits for Kel-Suu Lake may be checked here.
Descend into the wild Ak-Say Valley, home to yaks, horses, and nomadic yurts. Arrive in Kok-Kiya Valley, one of the most remote inhabited regions of the country.
After breakfast, set out on an easy half-day trek following the river toward the hidden Kel-Suu Lake. The trail is gentle and scenic, suitable for most fitness levels.
Suddenly, the turquoise waters of Kel-Suu appear, surrounded by towering cliffs. Take time for photos and quiet reflection in this dramatic natural setting.
Return to the camp by the same route and relax in the peaceful valley.
After breakfast, depart Kok-Kiya and travel through high mountain passes toward Bokonbaevo, located on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.
The drive offers constantly changing landscapes — from rugged alpine terrain to semi-desert and finally to the deep blue lake.
Arrive in Bokonbaevo, check into a guesthouse, and enjoy a traditional dinner.
Begin the day with a private eagle hunting demonstration, learning about this ancient nomadic tradition and the deep bond between hunter and bird.
Afterward, drive back to Bishkek, reflecting on your journey through Kyrgyzstan’s mountains and nomadic lands.
