Day 1.Bishkek → Burana Tower → Song-Kol Lake

Drive: 302 km / ~5 hrs

  • Depart from Bishkek, driving east through the Chui Valley.
  • Visit the Burana Tower, an 11th-century minaret and open-air museum with ancient balbals (stone warrior statues).
  • Cross the spectacular Kalmak-Ashuu Pass (3,400 m) with sweeping mountain views.
