Kyrgyzstan’s Spectacular Serpentine Road to Song-Kol
33 Parrots Pass is one of the most recognizable mountain roads in the Naryn Region of Kyrgyzstan. Officially known as Teskey-Torpok Pass, it rises to approximately 3,133 metres and forms a spectacular route between the Song-Kol highlands and the valleys leading toward Naryn.
The defining feature of the pass is its dramatic sequence of switchbacks. The road winds repeatedly across the steep mountainside, creating one of the most photogenic road panoramas in central Kyrgyzstan. For this reason, the pass has become a favorite stop for photographers, overland travelers and adventure tours.
