Itinerary

Day 1. Bishkek – Burana Tower – Kochkor

🚐 Drive: 230 km (β‰ˆ4 h)

Begin your adventure in Bishkek with a drive to the Burana Tower, an ancient Silk Road monument surrounded by open fields and mountain views. After exploring this UNESCO site, continue through the scenic Kok Moinok Canyon, known for its colorful rock formations. By evening, arrive in the welcoming village of Kochkor, famous for its felt handicrafts and
hospitality.

Day 2. Kochkor – Kyzart – Kilemche Valley

 🐎 Horse riding: 3–4 h

After breakfast, head to Kyzart Village, where you’ll meet your horses. Saddle up for a horseback ride into the sweeping pastures of Kilemche Valley, a lush meadow surrounded by majestic mountains. Experience the rhythm of nomadic life as you settle into a cozy yurt camp for the night, sharing meals and stories with your hosts.

Day 3. Kilemche – Tuz Ashuu Pass – Song-Kol Lake

🐎 Horse riding: 5 h

Ride from Kilemche towards the breathtaking Tuz Ashuu Pass (3,400 m), where panoramic mountain views unfold before you. Descend to the vast alpine plateau of Song-Kol Lake, shimmering like a mirror in the highlands. Lunch at Zhaman Echki offers views of the open steppe, before you continue along the lakeshore. The evening is spent in a yurt by the lake, watching herders tend to their flocks as the sky fills with stars.

Day 4. Song-Kol – Tulpar Tash Valley

🐎 Horse riding: 4–5 h

This morning, ride towards Tulpar Tash Valley, another jewel along the shores of Song-Kol. Spend your day hiking the surrounding hills, relaxing by the water, or simply soaking in the tranquil mountain atmosphere. At night, return to your yurt camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and the unforgettable sight of the Milky Way above the mountains.

Day 5. Song-Kol – Kyzart – Kochkor – Bishkek

🐎 Horse riding: 3 h
🚐 Drive: 250 km (β‰ˆ5 h)

After breakfast, ride back across the Ozbek Pass, taking in sweeping views of valleys and ridges. Conclude your horseback adventure in Kyzart Village, where you’ll enjoy lunch. From here, drive back to Bishkek via Kochkor, arriving by evening.
