Day 1 Kochkor - Kol-Ukok Lake

Your adventure begins with a short transfer from Kochkor to Isakeev village, where you’ll meet your trusty steeds for the day. After a brief introduction to your horse, set off for the Ters-Tor jailoo, known for its pure, invigorating air and crystal-clear waters. Enjoy the stunning mountain scenery as you ride, and keep your eyes peeled for marmots and badgers along the way, and listen for the melodious songs of mountain birds or the calls of eagles and hawks soaring above.

After a delightful day of horse riding, arrive at the shepherd’s yurt by Kol-Ukok Lake, where the air is crisp and the surroundings peaceful. Savor a delicious picnic lunch en route, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. As you settle in for the night, you’ll enjoy a hearty dinner and spend the night in a cozy yurt, surrounded by the tranquility of nature.

Day 2 Kol-Ukok - Kol-Tor Lake-Kochkor

Awaken to the gentle sounds of nature and enjoy a nourishing breakfast before embarking on an optional morning trek to the higher Kol-Tor Lake, situated at an impressive altitude of 3,400 meters. This trek offers stunning vistas and an opportunity to connect with the breathtaking landscapes of Kyrgyzstan. The trek will take approximately three hours, leading you to one of the region's hidden gems.

After soaking in the beauty of Kol-Tor Lake, return to the shepherd’s yurt for a warm lunch. In the afternoon, saddle up once more for a ride back to the starting point of your tour. Experience the vibrant local culture as you pass by shepherds practicing their age-old traditions, including making kymyz (fermented mare milk), airan (Kyrgyz yogurt), and kurut (dried salty cheese). Witness the milking of cows and horses and observe how traditional bread is prepared.

After an exhilarating day, transfer back to Kochkor, reflecting on the beauty and richness of your Kyrgyz adventure.
